The National Gallery of Art is organizing the 2010 edition of the National Visual Art Competition, the third in the series. The competition is in four categories:

Tertiary Institution

Professional Artist
The aim of the competition amongst others is to draw a road map to meet the challenges of living a life of self-sustenance by encouraging and promoting the artistic ingenuity of our teeming youths. This is a strategy for national development and economic regeneration in the country as envisioned in NEPAD, MDGs and Nigeria’s quest for total upliftment of its citizenry.
THEME: Electoral Reforms as ethics for good governance.
SUB-THEMES:
I. One Man, One vote
II. The Nation of My Dreams
III. Shun Electoral Mal-Practices
IV. Credible Election; our hope, our pride
V. My voice for Love, Peace and Unity
SUBMISSION OF WORKS:
All entries are to be submitted to the nearest National Gallery of Art office on or before Friday, September 3rd, 2010. Entries must be accompanied with a duly filled form. Click to download FORM

Medium and Specifications
Painting, Graphics, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography and textiles
A: Sizes of entries should not be more than 60cm x 90cm for Painting, Graphics, drawing, photography and textiles
B: Sculpture and ceramics should not be more than 60cm in height and a maximum weight of 10Kg.
