COMMONWEALTH SOCIETY OF NIGERIA HONOURS DG.

The Director-General of the National Gallery of Art, Mr. Abdullahi S. Muku has been granted an honorary life member award by the Commonwealth Society of Nigeria, Abuja branch, in appreciation of his services to the nation. Receiving the award today in his office, Mr. Muku expressed appreciation and gratitude to the society for considering him worthy of the honour.

The Director-General further stressed that such recognitions by an independent and International body such as the commonwealth society would goad him to work hard in order to justify the confidence reposed in him.

Commonwealth society of Nigeria Abuja chapter is a branch of the commonwealth society London. Its objectives is among others, to ‘’promote within the 19 Northern states and the FCT the understanding of the nature and workings of the commonwealth and of the factors which shape the lives of the people and the policies of the government’’.

Prince Ambassador Musa Abubakar Abutu, secretary of the society gave the award to the DG in a brief ceremony in the Headquarters of the National Gallery of Art, Abuja.
