Exhibition is central to the Gallery's activities through which the public derives enjoyment and knowledge from the works of art on display from time to time. This is achieved through temporary and permanent exhibitions. The National Gallery of Modern Art in Lagos, Nigeria, for instance, has a permanent exhibition which cuts across the diverse spectrum of art. The Gallery also organizes temporary exhibitions to commemorate important landmarks or event as well as promote Contemporary Nigerian Art and artists |

of private artists or groups of artists and other bodies through
the award of grants and financial support and sometimes also
providing technical and professional expertise.
