Dr. Abdullahi Muku, DG (NGA) is the most
DISTINGUISHED, CREATIVE AND RESULT ORIENTED DIRECTOR GENERAL OF THE YEAR 2011.

The Director-General of the National Gallery of Art,
Dr. Abdullahi S. Muku is the Most Distinguished, Creative and Result Oriented Director General of the Year 2011. This was confirmed by the presentation of the award by representatives of the Legislative Writers Forum of the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

As contained in the Speech presented by the President of the Forum, Comrade Austin Asadu, the Legislative Writers' Forum is an organiation of professionals from various print media in Nigeria who have come together with the goal and determination of contributing their quota towards nation building. He said that the forum is made up of people with proven intergrity, good moral credentials and above all, zeal and determination to put things right and address issues of national importance.

Dr. Muku while expressing his appreciation for the recognition and the award bestowed on him by the Legislative Forum, also requested the group's continued support in our collective quest to move the visual arts subsector forward.
